Nominees must have represented their school in the sports for which they are nominated, unless a clearance has been given by the school Principal. Students who only participate in club sports and not their school are ineligible.

Male/Female Sportsperson of the Year

This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in their sport during the eligibility period and has been recognised at a national level. The nominee must have represented their school in the sport(s) for which they are nominated, unless the school Principal has granted clearance to play elsewhere. Students who participate only in club sports, and not for their school, are ineligible for nomination.
